On March 27, the “IKAR” awards—the highest honors in performing arts in our country—were presented. For the 51st time, the Union of Bulgarian Actors handed out the prestigious statuettes on the stage of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre.
This year, the grand award for outstanding contribution to Bulgarian theatre was given to Yavor Milushev. On stage, he also received a special honorary distinction from President Rumen Radev.
The award for Honor and Dignity was presented to Stoyan Sardanov from the Plovdiv Drama Theatre. Samuel Finzi and Albena Pavlova were recognized for Best Leading Male and Female Roles. Honored guests at the ceremony included the Mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, Minister of Culture Marian Bachev, and President Rumen Radev.
We at Matti Events had the privilege of organizing the post-ceremony cocktail reception, where we treated guests and actors to exquisite specialties from our curated selection. We transformed the theatre’s second floor into a feast for the senses, where, immediately after the formal proceedings, everyone could unwind and enjoy a glass of fine wine in good company.
